Sport Horse Designated stallions

Hello everyone,

Well, we all had a very fun weekend at the Festival of Friesians. During the Festival there was an inspection for the Friesian Blood Horse Registry.

This inspection is performed just like the inspection for the purebred Friesians. The horses are judged on conformation and movement.

My biggest hope was to pass and become one of their approved breeding stallions. I was very shocked and surprised when Grand Design was named National Grand Champion. I certainly never expected it!

Grande passed into the silver level and had an over all score of 75.5, his highest scores being for movement! He has been recommend to go to the stallion performance testing!

This is a very big deal to us since he is one of the few horses of the Appaloosa breeding in the United States. He competed against all kinds of other crossbred horse combinations.

There still seems to be many people with the old impression of the ugly old stubborn appy. We stepped out of that mold this weekend, good for us.

And good for changing the impression of the Appaloosa one spotted step at a time.

Hey Cindy! This also means that Grande is the first IPSHR horse to earn a silver STAR! Congratulations from all of us here at IPSHR.
